Compliance & Contract Officer

The Compliance & Contract Officer is responsible for i) drafting, negotiating and maintaining all contractual documents binding the company to third parties, ii) ensuring that these contractual commitments are respected by all parties, and iii) ensuring that all company activities comply with the law and applicable standards.

• Negotiate and manage various contracts such as confidentiality, manufacturing, supply, sale/renting, quality, and internal agreements.
• Ensure consistency and coherence in similar commitments.
• Verify all contractual obligations are respected and highlight any gaps.
• Collaborate with Quality and Operations colleagues for periodic contract reviews.
• Collaborate with external lawyers or HQ Legal & Compliance for specific matters.
• Assume GDPR responsibility in connection with the external Data Protection Officer.
• Establish and maintain a compliant framework within the company in line with Skan Group compliance requirements.
• Provide legal and compliance support to other functions in the company, such as finance, HR, logistic, and marketing.

We are looking for someone who has a strong legal background, or at the very least, a solid understanding of international contract law (with a focus on Anglo-Saxon Common Law).

Profile requirements:

• High-level legal education (Master's degree in International Law, Business Law, Anglo-Saxon Law, etc.)
• Strong knowledge of international contract law, particularly Anglo-Saxon Common Law
• Significant professional experience in the field of international contract law
• Ability to negotiate and draft complex contracts in English
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in French and English
• Ability to work in a team and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Initiative, rigor, and attention to detail
• Knowledge of the international legal environment and international standards in contract law
• Willingness to learn and adapt to a constantly evolving environment.
