On behalf of an international manufacturer, we are looking for a Legal Counsel EMEA to strengthen its legal team in West-Flanders. In this versatile role, you will primarily focus on employment law and GDPR while advising across the EMEA region.
Le poste
- Advise HR and management on individual and collective employment law matters
- Support projects related to recruitment, onboarding, employment contracts, performance management, disciplinary procedures, reorganizations, and terminations
- Advise on working conditions, company policy, flexible work arrangements, and employee relations
- Assist the company in relations with works councils, employee representatives, and trade unions
- Support employment law cases and collaborate with external counsel
- Advise on GDPR and data protection legislation across the EMEA region
- Draft, review, and negotiate Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) and other data protection documents
- Contribute to Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), data breach management, and international data transfers
- Draft and review commercial contracts (services, supply, procurement, technology, confidentiality)
- Advise various departments on day-to-day legal and operational matters
- Coordinate external legal counsel
Votre profil
- Master's degree in Law
- Minimum 5 years of current legal experience
- Demonstrated experience in employment law and GDPR / data protection
- Experience with commercial contracts is a strong asset
- Ability to translate complex legal matters into clear, practical advice
- Comfortable working in an international, multidisciplinary environment
- Fluency in English and Dutch is mandatory (ideally trilingual)
